Waterproof Name Labels (optional) I LOVE THESE LABELS!!
Put your name on all of your personal swim equipment with these permanent and waterproof name labels. Put them on your fins, paddles, pull bout, kick board and whatever else you need to keep track of. You can order on line at https://www.stuckonyou.us/labels/name-labels. Since equipment looks the same, personalizing yours will keep it yours. 100 labels costs $19.99 worth every penny. Most of the swimmers order the pencil mini size or small - but any size you like will work.
Team Swim Cap - REQUIRED
All swimmers on the team are required to use a cap at practices and at meets. Each swimmer must purchase a set of personalized caps with their last name on them for competition.
Practice caps without names will also be provided for practices.

Goggles - REQUIRED

Goggles are your choice and preference. We have a lot of luck with the speedo speed socket. They dont leak and seem to stay in place better off the blocks. They come in lost of colors. We are indoors - so it might be a good idea to get goggles without the sun block tint.
Fins - REQUIRED
Athletes may use any fin they already own, but if they are too long, they can damage your knees as well as develop an improper competitive kick.
The arena Power fins Pro is my preference for intermediate to advanced swimmers. . They help keep the kick small and develop it in both directions. They have a hole for the big toe help prevent ingrowing from pressure. They are a little pricy but well worth it. A better (more affordable option) for beginner to intermediate swimmers is is the Gugmoy Silicon Fin - they are really flexible and comfortable. (I use these personally) Click on the fin image and it will take you to the Amazon page to order. It says kids fins - but if you click on size - it will give you adult options. LOTS of fun color options. |
Paddles
Available in 7 sizes, these are the original stroke technique paddles. Designed to improve technique and increase strength in the swimming specific muscles while reducing the pressure on the shoulders.
Most High School Swimmers should use a paddle of medium to large size. The swim team has paddles that swimmers can use, but ultimately owning your own , well then they are yours. Kickboard and Pull BouyThe team has kickboards that swimmers can use at practice. We do not have pull buoys. the pull buoy is not an absolute necessity, but if you own your own.. you know who has been using it.
If you purchase a kick board, please get one that is relatively sturdy (not overly flexible) with the rounded shape as depicted to the right. The pointed ones do not work well with the drills that we use. |
